Lift Off! 40 Days of Sacrifice - Day 33
Day 33: Young Refugees
Leviticus 24:22
There shall be one standard for you; it shall be for the stranger as well as the native, for I am the Lord your God.
Thirty-four percent of refugees admitted to the U.S in 2013 were under 18 years of age. Refugees are, on average, younger than the U.S. native-born population. In 2013, the median age of refugees arriving in the United States was 25 years; in contrast, the median age of the native-born population in 2013 was 35 years. A slight majority of refugees were male (54 percent), and 38 percent were married. (tgc.org)
Pray for the young refugees that have been displaced (or are about to be) and in search of a home. Pray especially for young children who have travelled (or are traveling) to get to another location. Pray also for families who have been broken because of any turmoil of their country of origin or from difficulties while traveling. Pray that they would find comfort in God's provision and love.
