Lift Off! Road to Renewal - Day 04

Day 04: LOST

SCRIPTURE
Luke 15:1-7
Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

PRAYER
Lord, I am lost. I have wandered away from you. I can't find my way home.  But you found me. You searched for me and found me. Lord, I repent. Let me be found in you. Teach me to love others as you have loved me. Help me to partner with you, to seek out the lost sheep.

NEXT STEPS
Write down your Jesus story. It's easy to forget where we came from. Think about the details of when you first heard about Jesus, when did you accept Him into your life. What did it take to get you to this point in your life. When we think about our story and parallel it to the lost sheep, our hearts begin to soften and grow immensely for the people around us who might be struggling or don't yet know Jesus.
