Sundays, Life Center, rm 302-303, 8:45am. In preparation for class this Sunday, read Chapter 4 of Prodigal God, "Redefining Lostness". Passage will be starting at 8:45a with large group breakfast then quickly break into small groups. [Is college making you more like the younger brother? As you age in Christianity, are you becoming more like the older brother? Are we guilty and condemned and hopeless?] Pray for your small group time that it will be fruitful.
Voter Education and Discussion—No Malarkey Here!
Sunday, Oct 13. 1:00-3:00p; Life Center, rm 304-305. Installment 3 of this educational and informational series will focus on gay marriage and energy & the environment. Are you familiar with these issues that they will direct your vote? "Is my position and vote for Biblical values a position and vote that pushes gay people further from Christianity?" "Is my vote to extend rights to a dying gay person condoning a pro-homosexual position?" "Should the US advocate for more oil drilling so gas prices can be more affordable?" "What is the cost of production and profit at the expense of the environment?" At the remaining gatherings, we will also review some of the state propositions that are on the Nov. 6 ballot.
