A Note from John:
"Engage" As you enter into this new school and church year, I hope you are very intentional about caring for your spiritual well-being and seeking opportunities to grow. Sure, God causes the growth, but you can intentionally position yourself in settings and activities that are fertile ground for spiritual fruit. College and work life can lull you into a passive life, where you're only seeking to survive, focused only on school, and you allow things to pass you by.
"Engage" possesses the idea of being involved by choice and with intention. A couple is engaged to marry by choice and with intention. An athlete engages in practice by choice and with intention. As you consider your spiritual condition, engage in the opportunities and settings that may provide spiritual growth and connecting with God. Seek–by choice and with intention–Bible studies, discipleship and small groups. Choose worship, prayer and fellowship. There is no shortage of areas within Flight, at church or on your campus that provide fertile area. Plant yourself into those things. Be Intentional. Be Engaged.
