March Flight Itinerary

Think it will warm up anytime soon? In the midst of a lot of rain and cooler weather, let's thank God for the abundance of water so far! We were desperately needing the water in our warm, dry part of SoCal, so let's be thankful for the rain. As the year continues to move along, take a moment to consider how God is moving in your life. Is He stretching and growing your faith? Is He teaching you something specific right now? Reflect on His goodness in guiding you today and consider how you might be part of His good work in these upcoming events:

Lift Off! Prepared for Missions
Mar 9-30  |  10 Requests, 10 Days, 10 min
We'll spend the next few weeks praying for our preparation for missions this summer. As the day approaches to commit (March 31), let's spend a number of days praying for specific areas to lift up to God. Our hope is to prayerfully consider God's will for your summer. Whether you have it planned or not, think and pray about letting God decide what you would do for Him on missions. Keep an eye out on the blog as we launch this prayer campaign!

Customs: Sunday Prayer for Summer Missions
Sundays in March  |  Sanctuary (organ side)
After service each Sunday, look for a small group of us praying and encouraging each other as we consider our summer missions opportunities. Whether it's with FCBCLA or another organization, we'd love to pray together in addition to the Lift Off! campaign on the blog. Let's see this as a chance to gather together and pray in one accord--there's something powerful in praying aloud for each other. It'll only take about 10-15min after service.

Customs: Summer Missions
March 31  |  Commitment Day
We listed a few opportunities for missions this summer with FCBCLA, so take a look and begin to pray about your part in missions this summer. Even though it's not yet spring, it's never too early to begin praying for God's direction. We have a short survey to see who is interested and considering missions. If you know that you want to participate, go ahead and fill this out. If you're not yet ready, keep praying, but sign up by March 31. We'll use this survey to begin a list of students committed to a particular missions trip and send out more info. Don't wait!

FCBCLA Anniversary & Deacon Ordination
Sunday, March 17  |  10:45am
Celebrating 67 years of ministry, our church is set to give God glory for His faithfulness to our church. In addition, we'll be ordaining a few deacons in service to confirm their commitment to the church. It's a great chance to see how God has worked in these deacons' lives and help support them in commitment to FCBC. We're also offering a light lunch box for $2 on this Sunday, but you'll need to purchase a ticket in the Worship Center courtyard after service on Sundays. Tickets will not be available on the day of the event, so plan ahead!

Easter Season: "Sorrow to Celebration"
Lent (Mar 6 - Apr 18)  |  Palm Sunday (April 14)  |
Good Friday (April 19)  |  Easter Sunday (April 21)

This year, we'll be focusing on aspects of Jesus' character throughout the Easter season. Each week (on Sundays) look out for a special devotional printed on the Sunday Program so that you can focus on the coming Messiah's work. We will look to confess on a certain aspect of Christ, contemplate this work in Scripture, commission ourselves to practice this lesson, and celebrate this characteristic each Sunday. The devotionals begin Sunday, March 10, so don't miss out. We'll also be doing a special Lift Off! prayer campaign on each of these aspects later on in April if you miss out on Sundays. Let's celebrate how amazing our Jesus is together!
