Customs: Summer 2019

We're excited to announce a few missions opportunities through FCBC/Flight for this upcoming summer! As you read, prayerfully consider your role in missions after school ends. Whether you join us or participate in a different area of missions, please start praying about how God might use you! There's lots of information, so take the time to read it carefully, then join us to pray every Sunday after worship service in the sanctuary throughout the month of March (it'll take about 10min).


Thailand: June 22 - July 6
Chiang Mai, Thailand
We'll be working primarily with The Centre (English Tutoring), building relationships with college-age students & young adults who are part of their community. There may be an opportunity to help paint a classroom in their facility this year and we will also be visiting other ministry organizations in the region. A Chiang Rai option--which will be 1-week longer--will be made available for those who join this team. A more detailed description of this trip is available here.

Arizona (HSMT): July 5 - 14
Hard Rock, Arizona (Navajo Reservation)
Help support the High School Missionary Team (HSMT) with various roles and tasks geared toward running a week-long Vacation Bible School for Navajo children and teens at a local church. They are looking for specific roles that include: prayer coordinator, classroom leader, small group leader, handy-person, and assistant cook. A Warrior Leadership Summit (WLS) option--which will be 1-week longer, prior to the trip is available for those who join the team. A more detailed description of this trip is available here.

Summer Enrichment Program (SEP): June 17 - July 19
First Chinese Baptist Church LA
Help serve children of our Chinatown Community this summer! It is our vision that kids from Kindergarten through 5th grade come to our church and be tutored in core subjects of Math, English and Bible. In the afternoon we will have lighter subjects like Arts and Crafts, PE, Careers class. Through these classes, we hope to build relationships with the children and help them come to know Christ as Lord and Savior. A small stipend is provided for all staff with part-time shifts are available. For more information, contact Brian Wang (brianwang[at]fcbc[dot]org)
