Job 29:14-16
"I put on righteousness, and it clothed me;
My justice was like a robe and a turban.
"I was eyes to the blind
And feet to the lame.
"I was a father to the needy,
And I investigated the case which I did not know."
Throughout the conflict, anti-government forces have relied on a variety of terrorist tactics against civilians. The groups have kidnapped women and children—sometimes holding them hostage for years—to use them for ransom or prisoner exchanges. They have also used suicide and car bombs attacks against civilian and government targets. Rebel groups associated with ISIS have executed civilians who refuse to recognize their self-proclaimed rule, publicly amputated limbs as punishment for theft, and whipped residents for smoking and trading during prayer times. Unfortunately, others have sought violence around the refugees of Syria and terrorists groups are using this confusing time to strike against the government and civilian aid. Pray against the work of the terrorist groups who seek to take advantage of the situation to forward their own agenda. Especially in a violent way, pray that there wouldn't be too many innocent casualties from these attacks. Pray for God's protection to rule in the midst of various types of violence around the refugees and civilians in the area.
