Lift Off! Missions Minded - Day 02
Acts 14:11-12
When the crowds saw what Paul had done, they raised their voice, saying in the Lycaonian language, "The gods have become like men and have come down to us." And they began calling Barnabas, Zeus, and Paul, Hermes, because he was the chief speaker.
It's very easy to see success and be proud at what has been accomplished while being on the missions field. Pray that you would know that whatever work God does through you, He gets all the glory. As God uses and grows you, pray that these great things would not cause you to balloon with pride--but instead, to remain humble in the grace God is providing in you. Pray for a reminder to be humble as you consider missions, so that while on the field, you don't focus on your own great deeds, but in the God-given ability and humility that resembles Christ. Pray also for a mindset on the works of God and provision that only comes from the Heavenly Father to be an instrument for Him alone.
