September Flight Itinerary

September is here! Wow, that came so fast--wasn't it just June? As we gear up for a new year of school, church, work--let's not forget about starting out right. Begin with good habits, spend the right time in God-honoring things. It's never too late to start up in a spiritual commitment or God-centered action this year. Let's not forget about all that God did this summer as we look forward to living for Him in another year!

Flight Theme 2016-17
"The Truth"
Take a look at the sidebar as many things have been updated! First of all, our new theme this year is "The Truth". What is the Truth? What does the Truth mean to you? How does the world view the Truth? Why is it important? What do we do with it? We'll be looking into some of these questions and more throughout the year. Be thinking about all these types of questions as we spend time studying and talking about this subject all year long. Hope you'll listen in!

HUB: Mystery Dinner

Celebrate like Fu Yuanhui and come to mystery dinner, the perfect venue to invite a friend or 2 while experiencing the amazing food scene (and collegians) that LA has to offer! Flight will also reward all those with a FREE drink ($1.00 value) who RSVP before 9/5, when the location is revealed to audible ooohs and aaahs. Bring $10, depending on your appetite.

 Passage Curriculum
Sundays  |  8:45am  |  Life Center 302-303 
Our first few weeks in Passage (Sunday School) will be focused on understanding God's Word as Truth. We'll look at this Truth as a narrative story, our main authority, and God's revelation to His people. Then we'll begin the year with a study on the Pentateuch (first 5 books of the Bible). This will be the beginning of our attempt to study God's WHOLE Word this year in Passage--let's see how far we get!

Lift Off! New Church Year 
10 days  |  10 requests  |  10 minutes  |  10th of September
As we begin a new year of ministry, let's take some time to dedicate 10 aspects of Flight ministry to prayer. Starting September 10, we'll spend 10 straight days of 10 minutes of prayer for 10 items focused on our ministry. This can be done at anytime from here on the blog, so come back daily to see what to pray for!

FCBC Fall Baptism

Want to get baptized this fall? FCBC will have a baptism service in November. That means you'll need to turn in an application, get 3 references, and write a 2-page testimony. This is all due by October 1. Don't delay! Questions? Email: darrenlo[at]fcbc[dot]org
