Thailand Mission (2016) "Small But Mighty"
Lillian and her husband Peter had been teaching at a seminary here in Chiang Rai. They are now currently living in France to help Peter obtain residency, since he doesn't have citizenship anywhere because there isn't any record of his birth in Vietnam.Lillian returned to Thailand by herself this summer to teach for six weeks. She extended her stay in Chiang Rai to be with our team and has coordinated our schedule and been our contact with the school, student center and churches.
I love being with Lillian. She's always the one to see a glass as half-full. Nothing fazes her and she is always content. She's the perfect compliment to Peter, who she admits is her opposite.
As the Lord's servant, she's a model for us as a missionary. She's fearless and flexible. She's shared stories of being a single woman going to remote places in Thailand. Problems may arise, but I can hear her say "oh, never mind." And, she loves to study His word.
After our time here in Thailand, she will return to France. Pray for her and Peter:
-- that the process for residency in France will go smoothly
-- for good health, especially for Peter
-- for their busy schedules in France
-- Lillian will also return to Thailand to teach in November
