Here is a summary of the trip. Take time to pray and seek the Lord's direction.

Register here: Thailand.2014 Registration

Participation Requirements.
  • Person must be a Christian and baptized. (As a missionary, we will ask people to give their lives over to Jesus Christ; to be their Lord. We must also live in obedience to the Lord and obey his ordinance to be baptized.)
  • Attend all meetings to your very best ability.
  • Submit a Church Missions Application (supplied upon registration)
  • Supply three (3) names as references from people who will support your participation on this trip.

  • A valid travel passport at time of travel.

Date of travel.
  • June 26 to July 13, 2014. (Dates determined upon airline flights)

Area of Ministry.
  • Maesai, Thailand (North Thailand, bordering Burma)
  • Jian Hua High School

 What will we be doing?
  • We will be teaching conversational English to Thai-Chinese students (grades 10-12) and teachers. We will teach phonics and help with pronunciation.
  • We will hold an after-school "English Corner" to help students gain confidence in speaking English. We'll use familiar songs, verses and games.
  • We'll use games, music and other creative methods to encourage English
  • We will host a "Friendship Party" on a weekend
  • We may visit a Thai village where missionaries are currently working.

 Cost.
  • It will cost $2000. Most of the expense will go to airfare. The funds will be used to cover living expenses, local travel, food and team expenses (i.e, missionary insurance).

 Meeting the Cost.
  • Option 1:
    • 1/3 ($650) of the cost will come from you personally**.
    • 1/3 ($650) of the cost can come from the church mission committee for church members only.
    • 1/3 ($700) of the cost will come from team support (fundraiser and support letters)
  • Option 2:
    • 2/3 ($1300) of the cost will come from you personally.
    • 1/3 ($700) of the cost will come from team support (fundraiser and support letters)

Support.
  • Church members can be supported through the mission department.
  • All participants will send out support letters where funds will to into a team fund. It will not go toward a specific person.
  • Comment**: Some individuals are very familiar within church and can generate enough support to cover their entire cost. While this is great, each person must make a personal investment into his/her trip. This means a personal payment must be submitted by each participant. A team fund will help each member receive financial support.
