Heart for Missions - Week 2
Desire

What are your desires? Do they match with what God wants? Consider for a moment the things that you long for. Whether they are immediate or in the distant future, do you think they align with what God wants? As we pray in consideration of missions, let's pray that we consider what God wants for our summer. Lift up a prayer that you would think about God's kingdom and the need for His message to be spread.

Our Father in heaven, your name be honored as holy.
Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:9-10

Take a moment to confess that your desires have not yet aligned with God's. Then pray for a greater desire for His way, His will, and His work be done in and through you. Maybe it's not missions this summer--maybe it is--but use this opportunity to pray for greater focus on God's leading in your life.
