Thailand Missions (2018) "It’s Hot. Preparing for the Unseen."
Nervous, a bit anxious, but mostly excited to see what God has planned for us and the people of Chiang Mai, Thailand. There, we will be partnering with Denise Poon, a member of FCBC who serves at The Centre, a ministry that reaches out to local students between the ages of 17-24. Our two-week trip will focus on supporting the mission of The Centre, leading and helping English and cooking classes, participating in game nights, encouraging and blessing missionaries and Christians already there, and interacting with students who visit The Centre. The Centre exists to share Christ’s love with these students and to see them transformed by creating strong relationships with them. I’m excited about the opportunity and experience that lies ahead.
1 Corinthians 4:17-18 says, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” These verses reassure me that although I may not see immediate results from our team’s work in Thailand, I should trust in God’s plan for the people and understand that our work is for God’s eternal glory.

Along with the things mentioned in this video, I have been continuously praying for this mission and would appreciate if you could pray with me. Here are some ways you can pray:
- The Thai people will be open to hear about Jesus and what He has to offer them.
- Team members’ bravery and courage to share their own testimonies and the Gospel.
- That the city may be redeemed in the coming years even if our team personally does not see it during the time we are there.
