Lift Off! CMC West 2017 - Day 02
If the Great Commission is about discipleship, then a mission convention must also be about discipleship. Our conviction is that every Christian should be a disciple and a disciple-maker. CMC is deeply passionate about equipping Chinese believers and churches to overcome the many traditional barriers to relational discipleship, and to launch and nurture a disciple-making movement that will unleash kingdom builders to make strong disciples in the Chinese world and for all nations.
Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Jesus has called us to make disciples and help grow disciples. As we consider the effort it takes to make disciples, let's not forget to pray that we play a crucial role in walking with new disciples in their spiritual growth. Pray for opportunities to take on others to help them grow, no matter what age or situation. Pray that God might use you to disciple someone, to mentor them, and to challenge their spiritual walk in Christ. Pray for courage to take this challenge no matter where you may be in faith and to step up to be ready to take on this commitment should God call.
