November Flight Itinerary

Is it feeling like fall yet? Ready for turkey, stuffing, and full stomachs this month?? Looking forward to spending some significant time with family and friends. We've got a lot going on this month, so look out for these special events and invite your friends out! Here's to a crazy, but exciting month of ministry:

 Attendants: November Lunch

Let's get together for lunch! Attendants (students of Flight Ministry) are getting together for an intentional, casual lunch once a month--this is the FIRST lunch gathering. We'll meet in the Worship Center courtyard and we'll head out to Chinatown to eat, converse, and share. Bring cash for lunch!

 Passage: Judges & Kings Curriculum

We just finished a study of the Pentateuch (first 5 books of the Bible) and now we're heading into the lineage of judges and kings! Come to study key leaders and God's establishment of the Israelite kingdom. We'll be looking at specific people who were close to (and distant from) God--how did this affect the Israelite people? Let's find out together--join us!

 Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Grades 1-5  |  Nov 23-25  |  9am - 4pm
This year, Children's Ministry is again hosting VBS during the week of Thanksgiving (many elementary schools have the whole week off). If you are available this week, please consider volunteering to help out a class. Two shifts are available: 9am - 12pm and 1pm - 4pm. Contact Brian Wang or Tolman Yung for more information. Use this as an opportunity to share your faith and the Gospel to a child who may have never heard it before!

Flight Winter Retreat
Dec 28-31  |  Mile High Pines, Angelus Oaks, CA
Early registration info: $130 early-bird until Nov 27, $140 until Dec 18, and $150 late after Dec 18. Save-up, sign-up, and pack-up for this time to focus on God! Registration info to come VERY soon.

CYA Thanksgiving Dinner

Our annual Thanksgiving gathering is coming soon! Mark your calendar and prepare to join a festive night. $5 with on-line RSVP (until Sunday, 11/20; $10 at the door.) First-time friends to FCBC eat for free (but please RSVP). Look out for RSVP via Flight and YA websites as well as Facebook.

Let's celebrate the step of faith by some of our collegians: Emily Ho, Maddy Quan, Wendy Chuandra, Sharlene Ishikawa, and Anna Hu are all getting baptized this time--let's encourage them with our support and prayer. Take the time to come to this momentous service to cheer them on to great obedience to God in this public declaration!
