August Flight Itinerary
This summer if flying by so quickly! I hope you've been able to capture the moments and opportunities both our church and God has given you to support, encourage, and meet-up with others around you. Here are a few things that are happening throughout this month:
College & Young Adult (CYA) Camp
August 7 - 9 | Forest Home Conference Center
Come find rest and retreat. I know your summer has been busy, but don't miss out on this opportunity to meet others, learn from God's Word, and fellowship as the body of Christ. This is a retreat for you! Especially for those that have served (missions or camp), come find spiritual rest together. Cost is $150 for the weekend and includes accommodations and food! Backpack Drive
August 9 | FCBC Gym (12pm)
In our commitment to bless Chinatown, FCBCLA will be donating 400 backpacks to Dorris Place Elementary School and will need your help to fill every single one! We will be assembling those backpacks on Sunday, Aug 9, in the Gym (MPB) in between and after service. Come help us out!
Summer Bible Camp (VBS) @ FCBC SGV
August 10-13 | 9am - 12pm
Summer Bible Camp at FCBC SGV is quickly approaching, and we are looking for volunteers to spend a week overflowing God's love to children from K-5th grade. The dates are Monday, August 10, 2015 to Thursday, August 13, 2015, from 9:00am - 12:00pm. On Friday we are encouraging students to join their KFC Friday night fellowship with their parents, and there will be an evangelistic presentation.
Flight Kick-off Meeting
August 14 | 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Let's get together! We'll be gathering together to eat, play, and introduce aspects of Flight ministry. Location is still TBA, so look out for an invite soon. Dinner is PROVIDED!
Paint & Dine
August 15 | 10am - 1pm | Suzie Gee's Residence
Bring a friend and discover together your inner artist while enjoying some delicious small bites! Open for Collegian and Young Adult age, all skill levels, and all hungry bellies! You will have the opportunity to engage in spiritual conversations with your work of art. RSVP to theltong[at]yahoo[dot]com by August 10th!

August 19 | Hall of Truth Rm 204 | 7:45pm
Join us to pray together with the church! We'll join ESPM (English-Speaking Prayer Meeting) and have the last 30 min to pray for Flight Ministry related items, then get ice cream at Scoops (paid for by Flight)! Please be on time.
The New Church Year!
Sunday, August 23 (Promotion Sunday)
We're moving up the start of the church year! Don't forget to move up (seniors!) and be ready for the incoming freshmen. Join us on Sunday at Passage (LC 302-303, 8:45am) for a great start to the new year!
