Lift Off! Missions (2015) - Day 06

Location: Los Angeles, CA
Organization: LA Urban Project, Intervarsity

LA Urban Project (LAUP) will give me a personal encounter with residents of LA who are living in poverty through community service. Some of these sites include tutoring children, assisting homeless families and single mothers, and working with women in recovery from abuse.

Pray for a greater understanding of this need in my immediate neighborhood and beyond. Pray for the opportunity to personally encounter and interact with these people to reach not only their great needs, but for their spiritual needs as well. I want God to show me how He cares for these people by learning how to cross cultures no matter how near or far they may be.
