Lift Off! New Year - Day 04

Day 04: Freshmen
We have 27 students in our incoming class this year! 5 are/have headed to northern California and 1 will be out-of-state (not too far from the northern border though!). 

 Isaiah 43:18-19 (ESV)
Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

 Pray for all the 'new' things: classes, environment, friends, living situation, community, etc. Pray that these students would adjust smoothly and not be overwhelmed--taking in all that college has to offer with wise discernment. Pray that they would balance both their new-found independence and much needed dependence that will stimulate their faith. And pray that they would "let go of their past (high school) to be able to look ahead to God has in store." -Matthew Tsang (Freshman, UCI)
