Last night (Thu, 9.9.11) was the Prayer Rally at Dodger Stadium. It was an exciting time to gather with other Christians from throughout Los Angeles to worship and pray. With about 225 people in attendance, we prayed for various aspects of the event in the parking lot and the Stadium Club. One can hear the passion for salvation and revival to come to our city. People prayed that the City of Angels would indeed become a place of holiness and righteousness than what it is now.

I believe God has prepared us for this event, and readying our church for what's to come in the future: we went through a preaching series on preparing your story of Christ in your life, we were reminded of the principle of the Gospel and how to lead someone to Christ, many went on summer mission trips for the distinct purpose of sharing Jesus with others, and camp reminded us to live missional lives. We come now to participate in a city-wide evangelistic event where thousands will come to receive Christ. In the coming year, we aim to give more attention to our Chinatown community. I think God has entrusted us to carry out his plans in Los Angeles. God wants us bring Light to the darkness, Hope to the hopeless, Peace to the restless.—JohnC

New Church Year stars Sunday, Sept 11.  We'll be kicking off the new year during Passage. See you in the Hall of Truth, room 212-215, 9:00am. We'll get to know others in the college department, and reveal some plans for the coming year. Breakfast will be served.

WELCOME, Freshmen, to Flight and your college years!  As you enter a new destination in your lives, may you find God present and waiting for you, able to take your bags, and ready to point you in His direction.

Annex. The fall visit schedule is now available. See right column. Some schools will now have visits on Saturdays (UCLA & UCR). By moving the visits to Saturdays we now have more counselors to join the ministry, and it opens up the 1-on-1 meeting times. Please arrange your schedules to stay on campus that day if possible. If you attend an Annex campus and you know that a visit dates is not good, please contact John. Thanks.

Prayer Meeting. Wednesday, 7:45pm. H/Truth 220-223. Align yourself with God through prayer. Many of you experienced God's answered prayers and his power throughout the summer. Continue to seek his face. If you haven't left for school yet, join us!
