Flight Report 4.22.2011


Good Friday. Remember. Reflect. 7:45pm. Join the service tonight to remember and reflect on Christ's redeeming work on the cross. English service is in the Praise Center (948 Yale Street). Cantonese and Mandarin services available.

Baptism (June 26, Sunday). Application for baptism is due May 1. Baptism is a sign of your identity with Jesus Christ and an act of obedience as your Lord. As a believer of Jesus, will you take this next step? Applications are available from JohnChow@fcbc.org or the membership mailbox. 

Hub Fellowship (May 1, Sunday). It's been a long time since we met. Join us for lunch get-together. Catch-up and hang-out over a $3 lunch. Hall of Truth, Room 205-207. RSVP here at Hub/Socializr.

Honor Mom at Passage (May 8, Sunday). Invitations have already gone out to invite and recognize moms in Passage (College Sunday School) on Mother's Day. Obtain an invitation this Sunday to pass onto your mom.  

Mandatory Youth Camp Counselor & Staff Meeting (May 22, Sunday, 12:45p). RSVP for lunch with a camp director (or the upcoming Facebook event).

Navajo Ministry Mission Trip (May 27-30, Fri-Mon, Memorial Weekend). The younger Navajos, who you knew and taught, are now older. They still need your love and care. Be a discipler or mentor to the Navajo teens. This Memorial weekend will initiate long-term care for our siblings in Christ in Arizona. 3-4 collegians sought. Contact John.fong@fcbc.org by May 1.

MORE THAN ME—A Summer of Love..Bring Jesus to our world.
+Big Sunday (May 15, Sunday)—Bring Beauty to Los Angeles. All collegians & young adults are invited to participate in a city-wide volunteer day. In an effort to positively impact our community, we will be sending out volunteers to several project sites near Chinatown & Downtown LA to partner with community organizations that offer assistance to those who are hurting or have special needs. This is our 3rd year! Learn how to get involved by visiting the info table in the New Sanctuary Courtyard after service. Worship service for all participants on Saturday, May 14. +Navajo Ministry with HSMT (July 16-24, Sat—Sun). 3-4 collegians are sought to join the High School Mission Team on its annual trip. The collegians will serve as small group discussion leaders to Navajo teens, or as trip counselors and leaders (in preparation as a possible future leader in this ministry). +Summer Enrichment Program (June 27-July 28)—A "summer school" program for the Chinatown children. This five-week program provides a summer activity for Chinatown children who don't have summer school available to them. Be a teacher or classroom assistant. A generous stipend is provided. The program will work around minor scheduling conflicts and other mission trips. Deadline for application is early May. Contact BrianWang@fcbc.org or Min. John Chow.

+3-on-3 for CSC Basketball Tournament (June 18, Sat). Support for the Chinatown Service Center (CSC) Youth Center through your participation at this 2nd year event. Submit a team or help. Check it out at 3-on3 for CSC or at Facebook.

+Tutor at the Chinatown Service Center (Summer). Put that brain to work...and be a tutor to kids at CSC. When school is done for the summer, use your time to help others. 20 total hours will earn you a free College/Young Adult camp (valued at $160). Contact JohnChow@fcbc.org.
